These terms apply to orders for 3D printing, CNC and sheet metal machining, casting, design, digitisation and post-processing if made available and agreed before the contract is concluded. Individual agreements and the order confirmation take precedence. The customer’s differing terms apply only with our express consent. The separate AlpGo shop has its own terms.
2. Enquiry, quotation and contract
A website enquiry or file upload is non-binding. An automatic acknowledgement is not acceptance of an order. The contract is formed when the customer accepts our quotation and we confirm the order in text form, for example by email. A quotation expressly designated as binding may specify a different acceptance procedure.
The scope is defined by the confirmed documents, quantities, materials, processes and specifications. Additional inspections, certificates, design, assembly or approvals are included only if agreed.
3. Customer data and production approval
The customer provides complete, current and consistent CAD data and drawings. Special requirements for dimensions, fits, threads, loads, colour, visible surfaces and operating conditions must be stated before ordering. If files and drawings differ, their order of precedence must be agreed before manufacturing.
The customer carefully checks approval documents and samples. Approval covers the identifiable and agreed specifications; it does not waive rights for hidden defects. Manufacturing to customer data does not include a full assessment of the design, intellectual property rights or the application’s legal compliance unless separately commissioned. Agreed inspections and statutory duties to warn remain unaffected.
4. Material, process and application
Material properties depend, among other things, on process, orientation, geometry and post-processing. Images and general datasheets do not replace project-specific specifications. Permitted deviations are defined in the quotation or drawing and must not impair the agreed function.
Unless agreed otherwise, prototypes are not approved production products. Safety-critical, medical, food-contact or other regulated applications must be expressly identified beforehand. Required qualification, validation and evidence are agreed separately. We may use specialised manufacturing partners in Switzerland and abroad; our contractual obligations to the customer remain unchanged.
5. Prices and payment
Confirmed prices in CHF apply, together with taxes, packaging and transport costs stated in the quotation. For consumers, mandatory price components are included in the total price. Customs duties and import costs for international orders are allocated in the quotation.
Payment terms and any deposit are set out in the order confirmation. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date. In the event of late payment, we may suspend further work or deliveries after a reminder and a reasonable additional deadline. Statutory consequences of default remain reserved.
6. Changes and cancellation
Changes after ordering require agreement in text form. We explain effects on costs and schedules before carrying out additional work. Parts already made or materials purchased cannot always be reused.
No voluntary right of return is granted for defect-free custom-made parts. An agreed cancellation takes into account demonstrably completed work and unavoidable material and third-party costs, less expenses saved. Further or mandatory statutory rights of termination, rescission and withdrawal remain unaffected.
7. Delivery and deadlines
A deadline is binding if we expressly confirm it as such. Planning requires timely approvals, data and agreed payments. We communicate delays. For events beyond our control, we explain the consequences and agree the next steps; statutory rights in the event of delay remain unaffected.
Place of delivery, shipping and any partial deliveries are agreed. For visible transport damage, the customer should retain the packaging, document the damage and promptly inform us and the carrier. Mandatory claims are not restricted by this.
8. Inspection and defects
The customer inspects the delivery as soon as possible in the ordinary course of business and reports visible defects immediately, with a description and photos where possible. Hidden defects must be reported immediately after discovery. Mandatory statutory inspection, notification and limitation rules take precedence.
For justified defects, we must first be given a reasonable opportunity to repair or replace, insofar as this is reasonable and legally permitted. If a remedy is impossible, fails or is not provided within a reasonable period, the customer retains the applicable statutory rights. These terms do not shorten statutory limitation periods.
Normal wear, improper use or subsequent modifications exclude defect claims only insofar as they caused the reported fault.
9. Liability
No exclusions or limitations in these terms apply to intent, gross negligence, personal injury or other liability that is mandatory by law.
For business customers, liability for indirect damage, production downtime and lost profit arising from slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This restriction does not apply to consumers. Agreed primary obligations, defect rights and mandatory product liability remain unaffected.
10. Rights, confidentiality and documents
The customer must be entitled to use and share their data, models and templates for the order. We use them to fulfil the project and share necessary documents with participating manufacturing partners. Confidentiality requirements and special transfer restrictions must be stated before handover; separate non-disclosure agreements take precedence.
Customer data remains assigned to the customer. The scope of usage rights transferred for designs, tools and results we create is defined in the order. Publication of customer-specific projects as references requires separate approval. We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy policy.
11. Law, jurisdiction and version
Swiss law applies. For business customers, jurisdiction at the provider’s registered office is agreed to the extent permitted. Mandatory statutory jurisdictions and protective provisions, particularly for consumers, remain reserved.
The version agreed when the contract is concluded applies to the order. Later website changes do not alter existing contracts. If an individual provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent legally permitted.
