Describe the function first
Briefly explain where the part will be used and what it must do. An installation model, cover and load-bearing bracket have different requirements. Photos of the installation complement the description.
Keep CAD and drawings together
Send the current data revision with a clear version label. A STEP file describes geometry; drawings specify threads, fits, visible surfaces and special requirements. Mixed revisions lead to questions.
Mark the important features
Identify critical dimensions and interfaces. Which surface must fit, and where is a particular finish needed? Unnecessarily tight requirements on non-critical areas complicate planning. We discuss open points before manufacturing.
Add quantity, specifications and timing
State quantity, material, colour and delivery date if known. Details may remain open for an initial discussion. For repeat orders, refer to the previous version.
These tips help prepare your project. Specific production details and required evidence are agreed for your part.
